Foundation for Our Children was founded by people who have many years of experience in child welfare worldwide and who have the knowledge, experience, and, above all, the commitment to promote the physical, emotional and mental health, education and welfare of vulnerable children anywhere in the world regardless of their ethnic origin, religious association, nationality or geographic location.
Vulnerable children are defined as children who are abandoned, neglected, orphaned, homeless, destitute, institutionalized, malnourished, relinquished, in conflict with the law and/ or imprisoned, school dropouts; children who are physically or mentally challenged, children who are psychologically, physically and/or sexually abused, exploited by sex workers, victims of child pornography, victims of child labor, child marriages, victims of drugs and drug addicts, aging out of orphanages, war orphans, victims of natural calamities like floods, cyclones, droughts fires, pandemics. Foundation for Our Children does not directly operate any programs for vulnerable children outside of the United States, but financially supports programs for vulnerable children anywhere in the world whose purpose corresponds to the Mission of our Foundation.
The programs which our Foundation supports are administered by nonprofit organizations abroad, also known as NGOs. i.e. Non-Governmental Organizations which operate under their federal governments regulations.
The long term mutual GOAL of our collaborative effort is to help all vulnerable children to be better prepared for legal adulthood at age 18 and to become integrated into their communities as independent contributing citizens of their birth country.
